LOVE OUR LEOS

A Support Group for Spouses and Significant Others

Illustration

Love Our LEOs is a group of spouses and significant others who are in committed relationships with the law enforcement officers and support staff at Seaside Police Department.
Love Our LEOs meets once every other month for social gatherings. At these get togethers, we just share some good food and good company. We meet in different places both for security reasons and to make it easier for those living throughout the central coast.
Once a quarter, we also have seminars with guest speakers where we will learn about the different issues facing law enforcement families and how to overcome them. From managing shift work schedules to creating sparks in the bedroom.
We can learn together and lean on each other as we figure out how to do this whole "loving a LEO" life.

Why Love Our LEOs?

Your partner chose this job to make a difference in the world. And you love that about them. That doesn't make it easy to do this whole "blue line family" thing.... But that's the thing! It is supposed to be a FAMILY. We are not meant to do it alone!
I grew up the daughter of a police officer. I remember all of the fun times we spent with the other police families. The cops all hanging around the fire pit in the backyard sharing their "war stories" and laughing about the dumb stuff criminals did. The spouses all hanging out by the pool, laughing. The kids all running around, jumping in and out of the pool. It was so much fun growing up with all the blue families!
But these days, it is hard to connect within the department like in the past. The department doesn't have family gatherings or events, especially since COVID hit. I got tired of waiting for the next Christmas party to get us all together. That's why I started Love Our LEOs!
